Lights, camera, action! New video calling suite unveiled

As part of our commitment to both Green Endoscopy and working in the most time efficient way possible, Omnimed have invested in a brand new state-of-the-art video calling system.

Installed into our Training Room in August, the new setup
boasts an 84” 4k screen, 20M pixel ultra wide angle lens and 10x zoom lens! This combination promises a perfect performance in both detail and panorama, ensuring all attendees in the shot are without stretch or deformation and distant participants are still clearly shown. What’s more, the UHD 4K camera has multiple AI technologies for face detection, sound source location and voice tracking, with the camera automatically adjusting to the best framing solutions according to the participants' quantity and location. Real-time close-up to the presenter and a setup that requires zero manual operation means all attendees are free to fully focus on the meeting.

Managing Director, Michael Morris explained why he made this investment, “I’ve always been keen to embrace new technologies to help drive the business forward and create the best possible experience for our staff, customers and prospects. I’m excited to see how the new setup will facilitate more effective meetings and encourage everyone to connect more regularly on a virtual basis.”

As well as an amazing visual offering, the sound is captured via 8 MEMS single-direction microphones built into a linear microphone, offering enhanced noise and reverberation elimination. With accurate directional voice tracing, high quality conservations are now a breeze.

Kelly Peart, National Sales Assistant said, “From a sales perspective, it will help us hold more effective video meetings, which compared to face-to-face meetings, we can conduct on a more flexible basis time wise as they do not require travelling time, freeing up slots in our diaries. This is particularly valuable as hospitals themselves are extremely busy with less time available for non-clinical activities, meaning we really do need to work around their availability as much as possible. In addition, being able to provide higher quality video meetings in place of face-to-face visits enables us to cut down our carbon footprint via the reduced need for travel.”

Hope James, Supply Chain Assistant and Green Endoscopy Champion added, “The new video conferencing system will definitely be a huge benefit for meetings with suppliers and training sessions for staff. Michael and I recently utilised the new technology to attend a training session concerning our Evergreen Assessment for Green Endoscopy and the experience was much better than using the previous setup”.

With our new system in place, now is the perfect time to book a sales call with one of our team and experience the pleasure of crisp visuals and clear audio, enabling you to quickly and easily see how our products will benefits you, your hospital and ultimately your patients. Get in touch today.
