Green endoscopy study day

On Wednesday 2nd October, Omnimed’s Green Endoscopy Champion, Hope James attended a Green Endoscopy Study Day at Lymington New Forest Hospital.

As part of the 40-minute session, Hope gave a presentation educate attendees on how Omnimed can help the NHS achieve Green Endoscopy goals.

Hosted by Sarah Murnane, Endoscopy Sister and Green Champion at Lymington New Forest Hospital, the day was an opportunity for Green Champions and healthcare professionals across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight to get together and share knowledge on how they can help the NHS meet it’s Greener NHS targets.

Hope said “The presentation focussed on what Omnimed have been doing to become more sustainable and what we can offer hospitals to go greener too, such as encouraging bulk orders, illustrating the ideal sustainable endoscopy department and the 5 ‘R’s’ of Greener Endoscopy.” Hope added “It was great to meet other healthcare professionals so passionate about making the NHS a greener organisation and I’d be delighted to offer a similar service to other hospitals in the NHS or private sector.”

Each attendee received a certificate for their CPD records.
